Director :
Mrs. Hardesty
Jessica Hardesty is the director of the Grand Oaks High School Royal Pride Drill Team. Jessica was raised in Houston, TX where she attended Tomball High School, and served as top officer of the Cougar Charms Drill Team her senior year. Upon graduation she attended Tyler Junior College to pursue her passion of dance as a member of the Internationally Famous Apache Belles.
As a member of the Apache Belles (2010-12), Jessica served as Freshman Representative, Head Dance Captain and an Elite Team Member. After her two years at TJC, she continued her study of dance at Sam Houston State University where she was a member of the Orange Pride Drill Team (2012-14) and the SHSU Dance Department. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance from SHSU in December of 2014.
Jessica returned to Tyler Junior College and the Apache Belles in 2014 as their collegiate assistant director. She thoroughly enjoyed her time with the Belles before moving into High School Dance Education.
Jessica taught as Head Director for the Rudder High School RangeRettes in Bryan, TX (2015-18), before moving back to Houston, TX. Jessica also works to put on summer dance camps, currently serving on staff with Trendsetters Dance Company.
Jessica Hardesty is the first director of the GOHS Royal Pride Drill Team and is thrilled to head into the second year as an organization as she continues to share her love of dance and drill team with her students.

Assistant Director :
Mrs. Gassett
Hannah Gassett began dancing at the age of three at a studio near her hometown of Friendswood, TX, where she learned all forms of dance. Her strong affinity for ballet led to her training at the Houston Ballet Academy. She trained across the country with Joffrey Ballet, Ballet Austin, Royal Academy of Fine Arts, and Steps on Broadway.
In high school, she was a member of the nationally acclaimed drill team, the Friendswood Wranglerettes. In college, she continued her dance training at Stephen F. Austin State University dancing for their Pom Squad. Mrs. Gassett was the first SFA Pom Squad member to complete four years on the team. During her four years on the Pom Squad they won a National Championship at NDA Collegiate Nationals. Mrs. Gassett was awarded the title of Collegiate All-American and was captain her last year on the team. She received her Bachelor of Science in both Dance and English from SFA.
She has choreographed numerous award winning dances and has worked with several drill/dance teams and studios in the Dallas and Houston area. Dance has always been a major part of Mrs. Gassett’s life, but none of it would have been possible without the love, encouragement, and support of family, friends, her incredible husband Daniel, and their two children, Charlotte and Jackson.
Mrs. Gassett was recently named the assistant director of the Royal Pride and is thrilled to continue her lifelong passion by sharing her love for dance and drill team with her students. She is excited to be an integral part of the dance program at Grand Oaks High School and can’t wait to watch her students flourish while establishing a tradition of excellence.
